Instructions to Contributors

  1. Article title
  2. Author name
  3. Author addresses – the submitted material should include details of the full postal and e-mail addresses of the contributor for correspondence purposes
  4. Author biography – authors should include a short biography of 100–150 words, specifying the institution with which they are affiliated
  5. Author ORCID identifier. This must be supplied in the following format: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097. If you do not yet have an ORCID identifier, please register here: https://orcid.org/register
  6. Contributor publishing agreement giving us your permission to publish your article should it be accepted by our peer review panel. An electronic template is available from the Intellect website: https://www.intellectbooks.com/journal-editors-and-contributors#contributor-publishing-agreement-standard.
  7. An abstract of 100–150 words; this will go on to the Intellect website.
  8. Six to eight keywords, or two-word phrases. There is a serious reduction in an article’s ability to be searched for if the keywords are missing.
  9. References – Intellect requires the use of Harvard references embedded in the main text in the following format (Harper 1999: 27).
  10. Bibliography – titled ‘References’.
  11. Images – as image files (.jpg, .tiff, .png).
  12. You have read and abided by the Intellect Image Guide, if your submission includes images: https://www.intellectbooks.com/journal-editors-and-contributors#image-guide.
  13. Tables – embedded in the Word document if created there; if not treat them as images, above.
  14. Captions for all images and tables, placed within the document where the author wishes the images to appear.
